The Mother’s day Celebrations
Every year on the day of ” Shravan Amavasya ” we in co-operation with ‘ Matru Sanskar Mandal ‘ celebrate Matrudin. It is a grand occasion to instill love and respect for mothers and to awaken school and university students into better social thinking. To bring about an awakening in our citizens ( specially women ) with regards to their role in the upbringing of children and the social and national responsibilities that come along with it, we organize an essay writing competition.We honour those men and women who have not confined the scope of their love to their homes but expanded them to include the whole of society.
It has been our priviledge to felicitate The late Maisahel Mangeshkar, The late Laxmibai Deshpande ( Mother of P.L. Deshpande ) , The late Maltibai Dandekar ( Camlin ) , The late Leelatai Rele, Mrs. Rohinitai Limaye, Late Vijayatai Lawate, Mrs. Sindhutai Sakpal, Dr. Snehlata Deshmukh, Dr. Rani Bang, Shri. Yashwant Kshirsagar who have travelled extensively in Maharashtra to spread cultural awareness among children, Shri. Damle of Vatsalya Trust, Dr. Tatyarao Lahane who refused many lucrative offers to conduct over 1 Lakh eye operations almost free of cost, Smt. Tarabai Ombale wife of brave Late Shri. Tukaram Ombale, Police subinspector Mr. Sanjay Govilkar who helped to catch the terrorist Ajmal Kasab, Mrs. Suhasini Malde etc.

The Trust organizes personality development workshops during vacations. These personality development workshops aim to develop student’s inherent talents and provide them a preliminary understanding of various life skills, arts such as story telling, handicrafts, painting, clay work, pottery, fabric painting, compost making, self defense martial arts, yoga, singing etc.

Every year, under the ‘Self Reliance’ scheme, the trust helps students undertake a vocational training course of their liking, such as tailoring, nurse, medical aid workers, etc to enable them to be self employed and start their own trade.

Dr. M. D. Paradkar Award
Every year on 17th November, the student who tops the B.A./M.A. Sanskrit Exam of the Mumbai University is felicitated with the Dr. M. D. Paradkar Award
Conducting of cultural and value based programmes during the summer. and Diwali vacations where in we try to nourish the hidden talents in every child. Training in story telling, craft, drawing, pottery, production of manure, embroidary, martial arts, yoga, singing and other such aspects to develop an integrated personality of every child.
Readership culture project is implemented to spread the same among the economically backward class students belonging to the rural areas. For this purpose, inspirational and informatively entertaining books are distributed free of cost through the rural schools and competitions are organized about the books so distributed and read by the students followed by the award distribution ceremony as an added incentive. Inspirational books that will prove full of pleasure for the blind readers are printed every year with the active association of NAB using the brail script and are distributed among the 105 schools across the state of Maharashtra.
